How do I clean & sterilise a natural rubber dummy?

Before they are used for the first time follow these steps to clean natural rubber dummies:

1. Put the dummies in a clean bowl.
2. Pour boiling water over the dummies and let them soak for five minutes.
3. Let the dummies air dry and cool (squeeze any excess water out of the teat). If you need to use them sooner, you can dry with a clean towel but be sure to let them cool before giving them to your baby.

For everyday cleaning follow these steps:

1. Put the dummies in a clean kitchen strainer(sieve) and pour boiling water over them.
2. Let the dummies air dry and cool (There may not be any but in case there is, squeeze any excess water out of the teat). If you need to use them sooner, you can dry with a clean towel but be sure to let them cool before giving them to your baby.

Following the above instructions will kill any bacteria on the dummies, without compromising the durability of the natural rubber latex nipple.
